I’m a research psychologist, author, and Head of the Science Communication program at the University of Otago in New Zealand. We connect people with science to inspire wonder, nurture greater understanding of each other and the natural world, and empower meaningful action to address society’s greatest challenges.
In addition to teaching creative thinkers how to use stories to communicate the science they are most passionate about, our innovative graduate-level academic program – delivered entirely by distance (online) to accommodate students’ busy schedules – examines how people consume and use scientific information. Our teaching staff are leading figures in the creative science communication industry and are also actively engaged in conducting high-quality scientific research.
