As a newborn, there was no way to tell which parent my neighbor's daughter resembled. She was too small and her facial features too... babylike.

But when she got to be about one year old, she looked so much like her father that we started joking about who her mother really was. Someone would exclaim, "You daughter is the spitting image of her father!" And the mom would say, "Yeah, I keep hearing that so much that I'm beginning to wonder if I was involved in the process at all."

Which is all to say: Are there any studies where people were asked a year or two in if the child resembled the father?
